Name: Madeline Williams
Age: Nineteen
Race:Human
Occupation: Hunter
Appearance:
Personality: Madeline is a very sweet and gentle girl, she isn't very fond of conflict, so she normally ends up doing the research for each of hers and Alfred's hunts, and tries her best to stay out of the fighting. She doesn't have the best of luck though, and ends up usually having to involved in the fighting no matter what she does to try and stay out of it. She also hates it when she's forced to kill, or when anybody dies in general, unless it's to keep other innocents from dying, then she's reluctantly okay with it.
She's rather shy, and doesn't like talking all that much, so she normally lets her brother do all of the talking after telling him what he needs to know about their current target. She loves to read though, any type of book she can get her hands on, and thanks to that she knows quite a lot about the Supernatural and other odd things. Thanks to her love of reading, she also manages to learn of situations that she and her brother should probably check out, from reading at least two newspapers on line every day.
Maddie is usually very quiet and rather withdrawn, Alfred being the only one who can get a laugh out of the quiet girl with his immature antics a lot of the time. She does have a certain natural charm to her though, and anybody who gets to know her, ends up enjoying spending time with the quiet girl and liking her, she doesn't really notice it though. She is also extremely oblivious to any advance a boy makes on her, and she doesn't notice when she's being checked out, or hit on, she just thinks that they're either being really nice to her, or that they're funny.
She doesn't always feel like she belongs hunting with Alfred though, she hasn't ever since the day she found out she was adopted, and not even related to the people she had been calling her parents, or her big brother. She also feels extremely guilty about being the cause of her mothers death, all because she couldn't handle the news of being adopted and ran off, so since then she's made sure to stick close to Al, in order to make sure that something like that never happens to the last member of the only family she's ever known.
Likes:
+Reading- Madeline loves to read, everything from extremely old books, to today's newspaper.
+Pancakes- They are by far her favourite food, and she will eat them for every meal if she can get away with it.
+Maple syrup- The perfect topping to her pancakes, and she has a tendancy to drown her pancakes in them, and will on occasion drink it straight from the bottle, especially if she needs a sugar fix during 'that time of month'.
+Poutine- Her second favourite food, a perfect mix of french fries, gravy and mozerella cheese, a perfect snack, and what she tries to eat when she can't have pancakes.
+Cooking/Baking- She finds it relaxing and a good way to waste time if need be, even though Alfred has a tendancy to end up eating the majority of what she makes.
+Eating anything that she's cooked/baked- She loves this, especially if it's something sweet, although then she's likely to just eat the batter.
+Libraries- One of her favourite places to be, since they're quiet, and full of books just waiting for her to read.
+Finishing a hunt without any casualties- Maddie hates it when anybody dies, unless she knows that it absoluetly has to die, in order to keep other people from dying.
Dislikes:
-Fighting- While she's not a full on pacifist, she is moreso passive aggressive, and isn't too fond of fighting, although she will when she needs to, in order to protect those who need it.
-Killing- Maddie hates having to kill anything, even when she knows that they need to be killed, she still hates having to be the one to kill them.
-The dark- She's always just been a little bit paranoid and scared whenever the lights go out, even before she knew about the Supernatural.
-Vampires- They just freak her out, what with the whole sucking blood to live forever thing, she just doesn't like them.
-Spicy food- Maddie hates it, she just cannot stand it, and is likely to puke whenever she eats it.
-Fast food- She hates having to eat it, and she hates how Alfred loves it and eats it all the time, prefering homecooked, healthy, meals over fast food anyday.
Fears:
~Alfred dying- He's her only family left, since she never knew her real one, and he's the only one that she knows that cares for her, and cares about whether she lives or dies, and she knows that
~Most monsters, and the majority of demons and angels as well- They just scare her, like they do most normal people, and fighting them and seeing some of the terrible things they can do has just made that small fear worse.
~Getting thrown in jail, or worse, a mental hospital- Maddie thinks that this is a very rational fear, considering that it's what's likely to happen to any hunter who gets caught by government officials.
~Alfred or her getting food-poisoning- With how much fast food he eats, she is terrified that he might catch food poisoning one of these days, and that everytime she eats fast food, it might just be the one time that she gets it as well.
~Dying- A rational fear, especially for someone in her profession, since there's a chance that they'll come back as a ghost and hurt their loved ones.
History: July 1st 1992- Madeline Williams is born to an unknown Canadian woman.
July 2nd 1992- Madeline Williams is abandoned by her birth mother and left on the doorstep of a church across the American-Canadian border.
September of 1992- The adoption gets finalized and Madeline goes home with the Jones family, but keeps the last name her birth mother left on the note with her first name.
Fall of 1995 – Thomas and Anna put the kids to bed. Another peaceful hour goes by, but Anna has a bad feeling; a feeling that she'd had often as a hunter. Determined to ignore it and continue on with her perfect life, however, she pays no mind to it. An hour later, Thomas was dead, and Anna was racing to get Alfred and Madeline out. She grabbed a couple of bags and frantically stuffed some clothes into them, before rushing a scared Alfred out the door, her arms holding both the bags as well as a sleeping Madeline. Anna stuffs them all in the car and drives far away, and never looks back.
Fall of 1995-Summer of 2006 – Anna decides that staying in one place is no longer safe, and raises Alfred and Madeline on the road, teaching them about supernatural beings, the rules of hunting, and how to defend themselves. Anna hates that they don’t get to grow up living normal lives, but settling down is no longer safe.
Fall of 2006- Madeline finds out she was adopted, she has a bit of a breakdown and runs away, thinking she doesn't belong, and has no intentions of returning.
Fall of 2006 – Anna and Alfred find Madeline trapped in a house with a powerful borderline-poltergeist. Anna and the ghost face off. The ghost wins, and Anna dies, but not before telling Alfred to take the car and get out, and don't come back. Alfred manages to get Madeline out and into the car, and they put the house far behind them. After a long talk, they decide that, whether they're truly related or not, all they have is each other, and from thereon out, they stick together.
Fall of 2006 - Present – Alfred and Madeline are still together, and have caught wind of what is going on in Heaven and Hell, and have heard rumors about the ‘Mother of All’ and the issues with Purgatory. Inevitably, they are dragged into it all, thanks to a demon named Ivan, and his Fallen Angel minion type thing, Nikolai. None of them know what's going to happen next.
Summer of 2009- Maddie has her first boyfriend without Alfred's knowledge, while they're in a town hunting down a coven of witches. Maddie breaks it off four days later when he tried to screw her, she also made it so he'll probably never have children, and she feels secretly proud of herself for that, even though she thinks it was unnessicarily mean.
RP Sample:[/u] Adopted. She couldn't believe her ears after hearing that word. She was adopted, but it couldn't be true, could it? Her lip trembled as she looked at her moth- no, if she really was adopted then the woman she had called 'mom' for the last fourteen years, wasn't really her mother.
She shook her head, violet eyes wide as her lip continued to tremble. "N-No.... it can't be... i-it can't be true...." She mumbled quietly, not wanting to believe it. She looked over at her brother, hoping that he would start laughing or something, and ask her how she could fall for such a stupid prank, but he seemed to have already known that she was adopted.
Her lip trembled more as she backed up, shaking her head again, unwilling to believe it, but knowing in her heart that it was true. She had always felt like she didn't belong, that she was the odd one out in the Jones family, with her violet eyes, instead of blue like the rest of them. She closed those eyes now, shaking her head again, as she continued to back up, away from her family of the last fourteen years.
Madeline shook her head again, looking at her older brother with tear-filled eyes, before she turned around, and ran off, blond pigtails flying behind her as she ran, just needing to get away from it all.
She couldn't breathe, she couldn't think, she was barely aware of the fact that she was running, and that was only because the wind against her face was making the tears come even faster. How could they not have told her beforehand? She wondered as she ran. Just how could her mother have kept that from her, for all these years? Maddie still didn't want to believe it, wanted it all to turn out to be just a bad dream, but she knew that it was reality, and that was what hurt the most.
She continued to run, not paying attention to where she was going, until she noticed that she was very, very lost, and had no idea where she was, and how to get back to her mother and brother. She looked around scared, catching sight of an old house out of the corner of her eye, and hesitantly approached it, gulping a little as she did so, as who knew what could be lurking in there?
She took a step out of the tree line, and away from the safety of the forest, and from there it felt like something was dragging her into the house, and she let out a short scream, her eyes going wide in fear as she tried to frantically escape whatever it was that was dragging her in. She squirmed around, and grabbed the edge of the rotting old porch before it could drag her into the most definitely haunted house, trying her hardest to stay out of it, but her resistance was futile.
When the rotten board gave way under her grip, she was flung into the house through the door, and hit the inside wall hard, her eyes going wide again as the air was knocked out of her, before she slumped to the ground, nearly unconscious from the force she had hit the wall with, left unable to even attempt to defend herself from whatever had dragged her in there.
Additional Information:
She has a very large sweet tooth, and will drink maple syrup straight from the bottle sometimes in order to satisfy it.
She is extremely naive when it comes to boys, and can't tell when she's being hit on, or checked out, or flirted with.
