(Just a bit of a draft for now. I may work on it a bit more in the near future, but this is what I have now. Based mostly on the sixth season of Supernatural, as I didn't want to get into the whole Apocalypse thing.)
For millennia, humans and supernatural creatures have coexisted in relative harmony. Since the dawn of man, there have always been “monsters”, and hunters to hunt those monsters. In turn, the monsters also hunt the hunters. There has always been some semblance of a balance; sometimes, the hunters get the monsters, and sometimes, the monsters get the hunters.
But there has been talk about a being called the “Mother of All.” This ‘Mother,’ who calls herself Eve, is the creator of all supernatural beings on earth. She has been lying dormant for centuries in a realm commonly known as Purgatory, content with the balance the humans have with her precious ‘children’. However, Eve has caught wind of something interesting.
There is a civil war going on ‘Upstairs’. Long pent-up tension and disagreements have resulted in Heaven being split into two sides. The battles are costly, and some of the angels have started torturing the ‘first born’ monsters, the Alpha of each supernatural species, to get information on Purgatory and how to find it. These angels believe that, if they can find Purgatory, then the millions of souls locked up in there will serve a great purpose in aiding them during their war. However, these Alphas are reluctant to give anything away. They want nothing to do with the angels and their little spat, and as a result, the angels, more often than not, end up killing them.
Demons are also beginning to get involved. These previously-human creatures, too, wish to know about Purgatory. Some of the more desperate angels have started recruiting demons to help them get information about Purgatory. Demons have their own reasons for helping the angels, but there is no denying that both are a threat.
As a result, Eve has a message for her children: get her out of Purgatory, and she will make sure that the previous balance is restored.
However, it won’t be that simple. As Eve creates more and more new creatures to aid her, often hybrids of already powerful monsters, the hunters, whether they know it or not, are beginning to get involved as well. Confused and quickly dying off because of the new breeds of monsters, hunters are pulled into the plan as well, but either for better or for worse has yet to be determined.
